- 1 g of 2'-fucosyllactose patented Care4U®, fucosyl sugar obtained by natural fermentation and 98% purified, thus guaranteeing its very high quality. 2'-fucosyllactose is a sugar (oligosaccharide) naturally produced in our body by an enzyme (fucosyl-transferase 2 or FUT-2). It is present in abundance in our intestines. Some people are deficient in this enzyme and cannot secrete 2'-fucosyllactose;
- 50 mg of L-serine and 200 mg of L-threonine, 2 amino acids that make up mucine.

Intestinal mucus is made up of proteins - mucins -, carbohydrates and water. It contributes to the hydration of the mucous membranes and the protection of the intestinal epithelial cells. Among the mucus-related carbohydrates, 2'-fucosyllactose (2'-FL) is present in abundance in the intestines. It ensures the good quality of the mucus, thus favouring the implantation of bifidobacteria and the diversification of the microbiota. 2'-FL, the sugar contained in breast milk, is also produced by the body via an enzyme: fucosyl transferase 2 (FUT-2). This enzyme is non-functional in 20% of the Caucasian population, which is unable to produce 2'-FL. The mucus is then thinner and more porous, which leads to an imbalance in the microbiota, accompanied by an increase in inflammation and infectious pathologies characteristic of IBD (chronic diseases of the irritable intestine).
