Gastro-resistant capsules, strain bioavailability and Probio-Protect® technology
Bioavailability corresponds to the proportion of an active ingredient actually available in the body after ingestion. For a microorganism-based dietary supplement, it depends in particular on the ability of live microorganisms to withstand the physical and chemical constraints of the digestive tract, such as gastric acidity, before reaching the intestinal environment.
The formulation of TEOLIANCE® ISO-H2 relies on gastro-resistant capsules, designed to preserve the integrity of microbiota strains and yeast throughout digestive transit and allow their release in the intestine. This galenic choice aligns with a respectful approach to intestinal physiology and the natural functioning of the intestinal microbiota.
THERASCIENCE Laboratory has developed the patented Probio-Protect® technology, used in the formulation of TEOLIANCE® ISO-H2. This process is based on individual microencapsulation of strains, each microorganism being protected by a plant-based coating specifically designed to accompany its release in the intestinal environment. This microencapsulation aims to preserve the quality of strains during encapsulation, protect them from environmental factors such as oxidation, light, heat, or humidity, and prevent premature interactions between formula components.
Certain strains present in TEOLIANCE® ISO-H2, such as Bacillus coagulans IS-2® and the yeast Saccharomyces boulardii, have specific biological characteristics. Bacillus coagulans IS-2® is a spore-forming bacterium capable of forming spores, a natural structure that provides resistance to digestive conditions. Saccharomyces boulardii, on the other hand, is a yeast recognized for its robustness against pH variations. Thanks to this combination of gastro-resistant capsules and Probio-Protect® microencapsulation, TEOLIANCE® ISO-H2 follows a demanding formulation approach, combining controlled bioavailability, strain stability, and technological consistency, for a dietary supplement dedicated to intestinal balance.
