FERMOGRANATE™ is a fermented pomegranate peel extract (Punica granatum), obtained through the patented PhytoFerm™ process, which transforms the polyphenols of pomegranate into a complete spectrum of bioactive metabolites, particularly urolithins.
Why ferment pomegranate? In conventional pomegranate extracts, ellagitannins and punicalagins must first be hydrolysed into ellagic acid, then transformed into urolithins by the intestinal microbiota — a conversion that would only be effective in around 40% of the population. FERMOGRANATE™ directly provides a spectrum of bioactivated urolithins (A, B, C and D), with bioavailability up to 15 times higher than that of a non-fermented extract.

Each capsule provides 300 mg of FERMOGRANATE™ fermented pomegranate extract, obtained from an extraction ratio of 30:1, standardised to 20% polyphenols, 5% punicalagins, 0.8% ellagic acid and 2% urolithin A.

FERMOGRANATE™: Fermented Pomegranate Extract
FERMOGRANATE™ is a fermented pomegranate extract, obtained through the patented PhytoFerm™ process, which enables the transformation of pomegranate polyphenols into a complete spectrum of bioactive metabolites, particularly urolithins.
This fermentation also enriches the extract with phenolic compounds: FERMOGRANATE™ has a total polyphenol content increased by nearly 179% compared with a non-fermented pomegranate extract. In conventional pomegranate extracts, ellagitannins and punicalagins must first be hydrolysed into ellagic acid, then transformed into urolithins by the intestinal microbiota.
However, this conversion is highly dependent on the composition of the microbiota and would only be effective in around 40% of the population. Unlike these extracts, FERMOGRANATE™ directly provides a spectrum of bioactivated urolithins, including urolithins A, B, C and D, as well as ellagic acid and microorganisms resulting from fermentation, thermally inactivated.
Highly concentrated fermented pomegranate extract
THERASCIENCE Laboratory has selected a highly concentrated fermented pomegranate peel extract (Punica granatum), with an extraction ratio of 30 to 1 (30:1).
This means that 30 g of pomegranate peel are required to obtain 1 g of pure extract.
Thus, 1 100% plant-based capsule of PHYSIOMANCE® Fermented Pomegranate provides 300 mg of fermented pomegranate extract, equivalent to 9 g of dried plant, thus making our formula highly concentrated.
Extract standardised and assayed for urolithin A and polyphenols
Our FERMOGRANATE™ fermented pomegranate extract is standardised to 2% urolithin A and 20% polyphenols, including 0.8% ellagic acid and 5% punicalagins, characteristic compounds of pomegranate and its transformation through fermentation.
Each 100% plant-based capsule of PHYSIOMANCE® Fermented Pomegranate therefore provides 6 mg of urolithin A, 60 mg of polyphenols, 2.4 mg of ellagic acid and 15 mg of punicalagins. This standardisation is based on a rigorous manufacturing process, designed to guarantee a precise and consistent content of active molecules.
