A scientifically selected, high-quality mono-ingredient
The cacao tree is widely found in tropical countries, mainly cultivated in West Africa, Brazil, Indonesia and Malaysia. Cocoa is prized the world over for its seed, also known as the "bean". While cocoa (Theobroam cacao, L.) has invaded the world of confectionery, drinks and pastries, it also hides a little-known treasure for our bodies: flavanols. Flavanols are a special category of flavonoids known for their health benefits, particularly cardiovascular.
Clinical studies have been carried out to establish the impact of flavanols on our bodies. These studies suggest that a diet rich in flavanols has a positive impact on health.
THERASCIENCE Laboratory has therefore selected a quality active ingredient, CocoActiv™, an extract of cocoa seeds (Theobroma cacao) from a sustainable source in Ecuador, whose traceability is guaranteed. CocoActiv™ is obtained using a patented extraction process which certifies a standardised flavanol content of 29%. Numerous clinical studies have demonstrated the effectiveness of cocoa flavanols in improving endothelial function, in other words improving blood circulation.
