Don't forget the essentials with vitamin C
Vitamins, minerals & fatty acids
According to a Finnish study, a vitamin C cure in winter would prevent colds in children, but also in amateur or professional sportsmen and women.
The study involved 11,000 volunteers who took a regular dose of vitamin C throughout the winter. The panel consisted of children, sportsmen and women and outdoor workers. The researchers found that among people working outdoors or regularly engaged in physical activity, taking vitamin C reduced the risk of colds by 50%. The results are equally convincing on the recovery, which proves to be faster.
In the panel of children, those who took vitamin C saw the average duration of their colds decrease by 18%.
So don't let a simple cold ruin your winter, and consider supplementing the whole family with vitmain C!
