Titrated in crocins and safranal, our Safr'Inside™ extract is patented and encapsulated. It takes 200,000 flowers to produce 1 kg of saffron. Each flower contains just 3 red stigmas, corresponding to the saffron pistil. The harvesting and preparation of saffron is extremely meticulous. Everything is done by hand: harvesting the flowers, extracting the stigmas and drying them. This is one of the reasons why saffron is often considered to be one of the most precious spices in the world.
Our patented ingredient, Safr'Inside™, is the only encapsulated saffron extract preserving the full molecular spectrum of saffron with over 25 compounds identified and characterised by U-HPLC (high performance liquid chromatography) method, thus preserving the native composition of saffron. Safranal is the saffron molecule whose action on the amplification of serotonin (‘happiness hormone’) is the most widely described in the scientific literature. Unlike other categories of saffron, Sargol is distinguished by the exclusive use of the tips of its stigmas, carefully sorted to retain only the red part, which is the richest in active ingredients. It contains no yellow (style) or white parts. This selection guarantees a high concentration of crocin, responsible for its intense red colour, picrocrocin, which gives it its slightly bitter flavour, and safranal, the source of its powerful floral aroma. These compounds contribute to a lasting feeling of calm, without undesirable side effects. Grown under optimum conditions in Iran, Sargol saffron is of exceptional quality. Its purity makes it a preferred choice behind its remarkable efficacy. Safr'Inside™ is 10 times more concentrated in safranal and 20 times more concentrated in crocetins than non-encapsulated saffron extracts.

This method measures stable isotopes and makes it possible to differentiate between natural saffron from the Crocus sativa species and synthetic saffron.
