    Expertise from harvest to extract

    Once harvested, the mushrooms are hand-checked and immediately dried under optimal conditions to preserve their quality. Only those with flawless quality are selected and allowed to be processed.

    To preserve their compounds of interest, our mushrooms are processed using gentle drying, followed by very fine grinding with the "shellbroken" method, which mechanically breaks the mushroom cell walls, facilitating the release of active compounds.

    The extraction of active compounds from the mushrooms is then carried out under optimal conditions, without organic solvent. Our extracts of Reishi, Shiitake, Maitake, Agaricus blazei, and Coprin haircap are obtained through aqueous extraction in which the ground mushrooms are simmered for several hours at a controlled temperature without boiling. This gentle method helps preserve the structure of the mushrooms’ active compounds.

    This step requires true technical expertise. Indeed, each mushroom species requires specific time and temperature parameters to optimally release its compounds of interest, notably polysaccharides.
