The Benefits of Spiruline BIO from Therascience Laboratory

Spirulina, the most complete microalgae in the world

Considered one of the most complete microalgae in the world, spirulina (Arthrospira platensis) has been cultivated for millennia in certain regions of the globe, where it already constituted a traditional food source.

Today, its nutritional qualities make it one of the most sought-after superfoods: it naturally concentrates complete plant proteins and phycocyanin, its emblematic blue-green pigment.

It is today highly valued by both athletes seeking protein intake and advocates of plant-based nutrition.

100% Pure Powder Dried at Low Temperature

Our Spiruline BIO distinguishes itself by its low-temperature drying process, a key step to preserve the integrity of its most fragile bioactive compounds.

Phycocyanin, the blue-green pigment characteristic of spirulina and its most sought-after active ingredient, is particularly heat-sensitive: spirulina dried at high temperature loses a large part of it.

Our process allows us to maintain a high content of phycocyanin (> 20%), as well as the essential amino acids provided by the plant proteins of spirulina, without excipients or filling agents.

Spirulina and Sport: Proteins, Recovery, Endurance

Spirulina bio is traditionally appreciated in the context of sports practice. Rich in complete proteins, it contributes to increasing and maintaining muscle mass.

Its phycocyanin content also makes it an ingredient appreciated during recovery, after exercise. Easy to incorporate into a post-workout smoothie, it accompanies both athletes seeking plant-based proteins and active people looking for daily energy.

As with any superfood, these benefits are part of varied and balanced nutrition and regular physical activity, and cannot replace them.

Spiruline BIO: A Demanding Selection of Ingredient, With No Unnecessary Additions

Therascience Laboratory designed its Spiruline BIO around a dual commitment: naturalness and quality.

Cultivated in France, it is derived from organic farming which certifies cultivation without synthetic pesticides, in compliance with a controlled specification. Added to this is the High Quality Process® method, associated with low-temperature drying, designed to best preserve the natural qualities of spirulina throughout its transformation.

Result: spirulina flakes compliant with Therascience Clean label, developed without excipients and unnecessary ingredients. This refined approach allows Therascience Laboratory's Spiruline BIO to adapt to many dietary regimes: it suits both vegan and vegetarian profiles, and contains no gluten-based or lactose-based ingredients.
