Constipation is a common functional disorder, characterized by a decrease in stool frequency, difficult evacuation and/or a sensation of incomplete emptying. It is generally referred to as functional constipation when no organic cause is identified. Bifidobacterium lactis HN019TM, also known under the names HN019TM or DR10®, is a probiotic strain rigorously characterized and registered. Its genome was the subject of a complete sequencing in 2018, ensuring precise identification, optimal traceability and a high level of quality control throughout the manufacturing process. This genetic characterization guarantees consistency and controlled purity at an industrial scale, in accordance with the most demanding quality standards.
This strain is among the most documented in the scientific literature. To date, more than 180 scientific publications, including preclinical and clinical work, have been devoted to Bifidobacterium lactis HN019TM, including approximately 68 clinical trials conducted in humans. The studied protocols cover a wide range of populations, from infants to elderly subjects, with daily intakes ranging from 10⁷ to 10¹¹ CFU, over intervention durations ranging from a few days to several months, or even up to two years.
All of these data give this strain a high level of scientific evidence, supporting its relevance in the field of intestinal health and microbiota balance, in compliance with the applicable regulatory framework.
