    What does science say?

    Triphala, a cornerstone of Ayurvedic medicine, is a traditional preparation made from three fruits: Amalaki (Emblica officinalis), Bibhitaki (Terminalia bellirica), and Haritaki (Terminalia chebula). Used for thousands of years in India, it is well known in Ayurveda. Today, this ancient preparation is the subject of extensive scientific research.

    Bifidobacterium lactis HN019™ is a registered probiotic strain developed through research and used in many scientific studies. Originally isolated from fermented dairy products, it is now well characterized microbiologically and widely documented in international scientific literature. Several studies have explored its favorable digestive tolerance profile.

    However, to date, European legislation has not approved any health claims for Triphala and Bifidobacterium lactis HN019™. While no specific benefits are officially recognized, these ingredients are attracting growing interest and present promising opportunities that deserve further exploration.

    Bifidobacterium lactis HN019™, also known as HN019™ or DR10™, is a clearly identified and registered strain, with its genome fully sequenced in 2018. Its traceability and purity can be ensured on an industrial scale, guaranteeing strict quality control.

    This strain is one of the most studied in scientific literature, with over 180 publications (preclinical and clinical), including about 68 human clinical trials. These studies cover a wide age range — from newborns to the elderly — and dosage formats ranging from 10⁷ to 10¹¹ CFU/day, for durations from 7 days to 2 years.

    A comprehensive review highlights: intestinal survival (tolerance to gastric acid and bile salts), microbiota modulation, and reduction of digestive symptoms.
