Resolvins

Description

Resolvins are pro-resolving mediators, also known as SPMs (Specialized Pro-Resolving Mediators), which belong to the omega-3 family and have an anti-inflammatory role.

Resolvins are synthesised from EPA and DHA through various enzymatic reactions during which intermediate precursors, the pre-resolvins, are formed. 

Benefits

Resolvins are lipid molecules involved in the process of resolving inflammation and are derived from the natural enzymatic biotransformation of precursors (18-HEPE, 17-HDHA and 14-HDHA) belonging to the omega-3 family.
